The Bootcamp Has Begun!
A pin has been placed on the corkboard! The journey has officially begun.
This week, I kicked off my self-imposed developer bootcamp to get more proficient with the GameMaker engine, and I'm already thrilled with the progress.
For my first project, I'm building a feature-rich clone of the arcade classic Asteroids, and I'm following the incredible tutorial series by Justin Zendt on YouTube. I've been so impressed with the quality of his explanations. If you're looking to learn the "why" behind the code and not just the "how," I highly recommend his tutorials.
I'll be posting daily, in-depth updates on the Asteroids project itself over on its dedicated game page. If you want to follow the day-to-day progress, see the code snippets, and watch the game come to life, that's the place to be! It's an unfiltered look at the steps I'm taking to reach my goal.

Thanks for joining me on this journey!
